#TGIFC08 Together Forever!

Welcome back for another TGIF challenge!  Hope you are enjoying our site.  We love reading all of our challengers' blog posts and being part of the inspiration that contributes to your creativity.  It's a real blessing to be able to share in that with you, so a big THANKS for playing along and inspiring us!  All of last week's entries for our sketch challenge were super fabulous, but there has to be a winner.  This week the honour goes to Joanne James!  Check out her project on our Winner's Circle Page!  Joanne, don't forget to grab the winners button for your blog! We will be posting our runners up on our Facebook Fan Page too so stay tuned...you just might see your card featured!

On a side note, I hope that you've been following our Throwdown Challenge.  If not, you can see the latest HERE.  This is meant to be a challenging challenge if you're into that kind of thing.  Just ask Joanne, our sketch challenge winner.  She was playing along and made an awesome card but had to disqualify herself for breaking the rules!  Yikes, are we that heartless??  Yep! LOL!  But I thought I'd give her a shout for: 1. making such a great card; and 2. realizing that it didn't qualify for the challenge and sharing a word of caution. Want to see it?  Click HERE.

Onto this weeks TGIF challenge...

#TGIFCTD01 Are You Ready For a Throwdown??

So over here at TGIF Challenges, we wanted to try a few things that we haven't seen before.  Some will work and others may not.  I personally wanted to introduce a "Stamp in the Dark" type of a challenge where you have all of your supplies on your desk, then either turn out the lights or put a blindfold on and let your instinct guide you to create something natural.  Sounds fun right?  Think of all the uniqueness that we'll see... Well needless to say, that idea has been vetoed shelved for now.

For now, here is a new challenge that we DID agree on... We're calling it our Monthly Throwdown!

The premise is very similar to a cooking show on Food Network called Chopped.  If you're familiar with it, then you probably already know where this is going. If not, just keep reading.  We thought it would be fun and exciting to see what everybody would make given a level playing field of items to work with.  And some challenging items that may not quite go together.  Now be forewarned, this challenge may not be for everyone.  Read more about the Challenge and "Rules" on our Throwdown page.

This month, the Basket is user friendly.  Wanted to get off to a good start.  After all, Gold, Pink, Purple, Butterflies?  Piece of cake! Right?  Well, prove it!  Show us whatcha got! Use at lease 4 of these items (along with whatever you want from the pantry):

Speaking of "Show us whatcha got," here are 2 of our designers' cards for this challenge:

Jeanna

Cathy
