#TGIFC03 Theme - Congrats Grad

Welcome back for week Three!!  Thanks for the awesome response on last week's sketch challenge.  With nearly 50 entries, you sure made it difficult to pick a winner!  In fact, we almost had a 3 way tie!  But eventually after a long night of intense arguments friendly discussion, we were able to select a winner...and this week it is:  Chantal de Kaste!  Check out her project on our Winner's Circle Page!  Chantal, don't forget to grab the winners button for your blog! Onto the challenge...

This week we have a theme-based challenge:

 

I've realized and learned a few things since having started being a part of this international group.  First of all, "TGIF" doesn't translate well into other languages... Lol! I never thought about it before, but it makes perfect sense now...so for our international players, TGIF started from "Thank God It's Friday" but can be adapted in many ways; one of our favorites is "Thank Goodness It's Fun."  

 

Now that I am more aware of potential translation situations, I am also thinking about cultural traditions.  Because I cannot be too cautious, I would like to explain the theme for this week just in case there is a culture or language barrier... We are looking for projects that celebrates and/or congratulates a student that has finished their year/time at school.  It can be for a child moving from grade to grade, a teenager finishing high school, a University Graduate, etc.  Projects can range from a card to a gift card holder to a gift...hopefully this helps.  Here is some added inspiration from our design team:
