Happy Friday, TGIF friends!!! Do you have pastels? Have you USED them? While many of us were excited to see them in the Stampin' Up! catalog this year, we wondered if many people were actually using them. There are so many different ways that you can use them, and hopefully we inspire you.
Here are a few ideas -
Poppin' Pastels - 1)Stamp the image with Craft White Ink or Versamark. 2) Use Sponge Daubers to apply the pastel color directly to the inked image. 3)Blow off any excess powder. TIP - To avoid smearing, gently dab the chalk rather than rubbing it across the image.
Chalking - 1)Apply pastel color to your card stock or paper with a cotton swab, sponge dauber, or dry Water Painter. 2)Blend the colors as desired with the applicators or Blender Pen. When using Blender Pens, just touch the tip lightly to the corner of the pastel to pick up the color.
Of course we never want to exclude anyone from one of our challenges. If you don't have the pastels, get creative and show us ways that you can create a similar look. Although we think that after this week, you'll definitely want to add them to your list!
Thank you all so much for all of your great projects last week. We love that you played along and shared them with us.
